GPT Image 2.5 in Your AI Photo Booth: Flare and Sunburst at 1 Credit

AI Photobooth··2 min read

Two new photo modes, one price

AI Photobooth now runs OpenAI’s newest image models. In the dashboard you will find two new workflows next to the ones you already use:

  • Live Edit GPT Flare: the fast one. Around 20 seconds per photo, high quality, the everyday choice.
  • Live Edit GPT Sunburst: the precise one. Slower, around 30 seconds, with the strongest face fidelity we have measured on a group selfie.

Both cost 1 credit per photo, the same as every other photo mode. We connect to the OpenAI API directly, with an automatic backup route, so an event never stops because one provider has a bad minute.

Why we added them

An AI photo booth lives or dies on one question: do guests recognize themselves? We ran the same four-person selfie through our current fast model and through both GPT Image 2.5 variants with the same four prompts (action hero, secret agent, winter, Christmas).

  • With GPT Image 2.5 the four people stay themselves: the curls, the glasses, the stubble, the smile. The pose and the framing of the selfie survive, the scene changes around them.
  • Flare and Sunburst give almost the same faces. Sunburst adds richer scenes and cleaner hands, at the cost of about 10 seconds.
  • Output is Full HD, 1088 x 1920 in portrait, with square and landscape options per booth.

Product placement works out of the box

Both modes accept product images. Upload the sponsor’s product once, choose where it goes (in the hand, on the wrist, on the table, next to the guest, or the new options: riding a bike, leaning on a car, standing beside a large product) and the model keeps the product’s exact shape, colors and logo in every photo. Read more in our guide to product placement at events.

How to try it

  1. Open the dashboard and create a new photobooth.
  2. Pick Live Edit GPT Flare or Live Edit GPT Sunburst as the workflow.
  3. Keep your prompts, templates and delivery settings, they work unchanged.

The modes are available on the Starter, Pro and Enterprise plans, on the Windows kiosk and on the tablet app.
